The transformation of a once abandoned tree farm has been the hardest and most rewarding work I have done (outside of becoming a mom) It’s now been eight seasons since I broke ground on the property, and I can hardly believe how far I have come. I really had no idea of how incredible this one acre could become when I just used it for a place to take garden debris and to keep a slash pile. At one point there were goats that were brought in to eat the noxious weeds, but all they ate was the delicious “salad bar” that I would bring them from my clients’ gardens.
Here is a chronological look at where I started and where I am now. I’m blown away, and it just keeps getting better.
